Possible Student, Staffer Relationship Under Investigation In Brewster After being informed of an inappropriate relationship between a staff member and a Brewster High School student, district officials and the Putnam County Sheriff's Office are investigating the matter. In a statement, Brewster School Superintendent Valerie Henning-Piedmonte said the district was notified of the relationship on Thursday and immediately contacted law enforcement, which began an investigation. Loaded Handgun Found In Ramapo Traffic Stop ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Ramapo police found a loaded handgun and marijuana during a traffic stop Wednesday in the Hillcrest area of town, police said. Three Spring Valley men were in the vehicle when stopped by the Ramapo officer, who located the handgun and pot, police said.  A 27-year-old Spring Valley man was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Born to the late John and Mary Cicero, the Bronxville native graduated from Fordham Prep and attended SUNY New Paltz. He retired from Verizon after 35 years in 2015.
