New Update: IDs Released In Wrong-Way Merritt Parkway Crash With 4 Fatalities
This story has been updated: The identities have been released of three of the four people killed in an overnight crash on the Merritt Parkway (Route 15) in Fairfield County. According to Connecticut State Police, the collision occurred around 1:45 a.m., Thursday, May 9, in Stratford. Two inmates at a Hudson Valley jail have been charged with new crimes while behind bars. Dutchess County residents William Green Jr., age 30, of Poughkeepsie, and Craig Albrecht, age 41, of East Fishkill, were charged on Wednesday, May 1. According to Capt. Man Dies At Hospital After Blaze At Home In Hudson Valley
A man died at a hospital following a fire at a residence in Northern Westchester. The blaze happened on Tuesday, May 7 in Ossining in the area of Liberty Street and Spring Street, where a multi-floor residence went up in flames, according to Ossining Police. A 39-year-old Hudson Valley man was struck and killed by a Dodge Ram pickup truck while standing on a roadway in Connecticut. The crash occurred in Hartford County around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, on I-91 north of the Exit 46 on-ramp in Enfield. Driver Dies In Fiery Crash On I-84 In Putnam County
A person was killed in a fiery crash on a busy Hudson Valley highway, police announced. The incident happened in Putnam County on Monday, May 6, around 7:15 p.m., when a vehicle traveling on I-84 in Kent left the roadway and struck a tree, according to Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police. 90 Cats Rescued From 'Deplorable' Dutchess County Home
Police are investigating after 90 cats were in poor health and deplorable living conditions in a home in the region. Dutchess County Sheriff's Office members discovered the cats at a home in Dover on Saturday, May 4. According to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, officers responded to the home for a report of animal cruelty. Upon investigation, 90 cats were in poor health and were rescued by deputies and volunteer animal rescue workers.
