Police are turning to the public in hopes of locating an alleged MS-13 gang member accused of taking part in the luring and stabbing of a teenager. A Long Island man has been charged with public lewdness for allegedly masturbating in his car in front of a mother and her young daughter. Jacob Levy, age 27, of Nesconset, was arrested on Wednesday, April 24, for the incident on Monday, April 22, on Gibbs Pond Road in Nesconset. Woman Suffers Serious Injuries After SUV Crashes Into Tree Near Long Island Intersection
A woman suffered severe injuries in an overnight crash near a Long Island intersection. It happened just before 2:15 a.m. Thursday, April 25, in East Hampton. According to the East Hampton Town Police Department, the woman was driving a 2024 Toyota 4Runner northbound on Three Mile Harbor Hog Creek Road near Marina Lane when her vehicle crossed the southbound lane, left the road, and struck a tree. The identity has now been released of a woman killed in a Long Island crash involving an allegedly drunk driver who police say fled the scene in a stolen patrol car. The chain of events began around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, in Massapequa. Rachel Lodice, age 21, of Jericho, was operating a 2023 Kia southbound on Hicksville Road and struck a 2022 Nissan Altima traveling eastbound on Sunrise Highway, according to Nassau County Police. Two New York women convicted of non-violent federal drug offenses are among 16 people nationwide to receive clemency from President Joe Biden. Stacy Wilder, age 49, of Albany, served nearly six years in federal prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to possess and distribute cocaine in the Northern District of New York in January 2003. One person was killed and two others were injured following a multi-vehicle crash on a Long Island highway. The wreck happened at around 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, on the Meadowbrook State Parkway in Hempstead. Between Wednesday, April 24, and Friday, April 26, overnight lane closures will impact both directions of the Long Island Expressway in Islip at different times.
