An overturned tractor-trailer on Route 495 near the Lincoln Tunnel created major delays and chaos for New Jersey commuters Wednesday morning. The incident occurred on the westbound side of the highway in Weehawken, near the tunnel's New Jersey exit, closing westbound lanes. Update: New Tappan Zee Bridge Reopens After Crash Causes Hours-Long Closure
This story has been updated. The southbound lanes of the new Tappan Zee Bridge have reopened after a pre-dawn crash involving an overturned flatbed truck causes its closure for nearly four hours. The pre-dawn crash occurred near Exit 11 near the span to the Westchester-bound bridge span. Traffic was at a standstill stretching back to Exit 14 (Spring Valley). Motorists were advised to take the Bear Mountain Bridge or the George Washington Bridge until the crash scene was cleared just before 9 a.m.

There will be partial and full lane closures on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Rockland County for several weeks as contracting crews get set to perform construction activities in the area.
