LEWISBORO, N.Y. – Here’s a look at some events taking place around Lewisboro this week, including town meetings, as well as school and library events.

Monday, Oct. 1

Conservation Advisory Board: 6-9 p.m. The Lewisboro Conservation Advisory Board will hold its monthly meeting in the upstairs conference of the Town House. 11 Main St., South Salem.

John Jay High School PTO: 7 p.m. The John Jay High School PTO will hold a meeting at the high school. North Salem Road, Cross River.

Town Board: 7:30 p.m. The Lewisboro Town Board will hold a work session at the Lewisboro Library. 15 Main St., South Salem.

LEGOS Creation Club: 4:30 p.m. The Lewisboro Library’s LEGOs Creation Club will meet at the library. Registration is required. Call the library at 914-761-3857. 15 Spring St., South Salem.

Tuesday, Oct. 2

Lewisboro Adults Seniors Meeting: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. The seniors will hold their regular weekly meeting at the South Salem firehouse. For more information, contact senior adult director Pam Veith at 914-232-6162. 1190 Route 35, South Salem.

Fiction Writing Workshop: 7-8:30 p.m. Author Kim Kovach (“A Few Bad Decisions, The Adventures of Kitchawan Kenny”) returns to the Lewisboro Library with creative ways to explore character development, point of view, dialogue, and setting to make your fiction writing come alive. Expand your writing skills with the use of challenging and creative in-class writing exercises and homework assignments. Registration is required for this adult program. Wednesday, Oct. 3

Mother Goose Time:  10:30 a.m. The Lewisboro Library’s Mother Goose Time presents songs and stories for newborns up to kids 20 months old. Call the library at 914-761-3857 for more information. 15 Spring St., South Salem.

John Jay Booster Club: 7 p.m. The John Jay Booster Club will hold a meeting at the high school. North Salem Road, Cross River.

Thursday, Oct. 4

Lewisboro Library Toddler Time: 10:30 a.m. The library offers stories and activities for children ages 20 months to 3 years. It will also hold its pre-school program for ages 3 to 6 at 1:30 p.m. Both events require registration. Call the library at 914-761-3857. 15 Main St., South Salem.

Friday, Oct. 5

Edible Insects at the Library:  3 p.m. In this Lewisboro Library event for kids in grades 2-5, discover why insects are used as a food source in a unique, fun program. Meet live edible bugs, learn which insects are edible and meet some insect-eating animals. Participants will have a chance to try an edible insect food, too Registration is required. “Wallflower”: Book vs. Movie: 5 p.m. “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” is a new movie starring Emma Watson based on the popular teen novel by Stephen Chbosky. Come to the library for pizza and to talk about the book and/or movie. This event is for children in grades 6 and up. Registration is required.
