John Jay Youth Lacrosse, a not-for-profit organization offering spring and fall lacrosse programs for boys and girls in grades K - 8 is hosting its biggest fundraiser of the year.
The youth lacrosse program relies on community contributions to help fund its programs and all are invited to join friends and community members for dinner, drinks and a silent auction at the annual John Jay Youth Lacrosse Dinner and Auction at Waccabuc Country Club, Saturday, June 3 at 7 p.m.
All proceeds go back to the lacrosse programs for kids in Katonah-Lewisboro. Tickets are $85 per person, $160 per couple and can be purchased at www.jjyl.org .
Items donated to the auction so far include lacrosse camps run by current and former All-Americas, NCAA champions and Major League Lacrosse stars, including: Paul Carcaterra’s Hometown lacrosse camp; PrimeTime Lacrosse’s Molding Academy with Major League Lacrosse and Team USA stars Ned Crotty (Rochester Rattlers), Drew Adams (New York Lizards), & Greg Gurenlian (New York Lizards); and the x10 Lacrosse camp, run by JJYL and John Jay alum Michael Bocklet of the Major League Lacrosse defending champion Denver Outlaws. Other items include lacrosse gear, a stick from Powell Lacrosse, training sessions with John Jay varsity players, sports memorabilia, tickets, local goods and services from community businesses and personal shopping services.
