"We have immediately begun the process of filling the vacancy and expect to share more detail with you in the coming days," Selesnick said in his statement. "In the meantime, our high school is under the able leadership of our Assistant Principals with support from their administrative colleagues. Until you hear further, any question or concern you would typically direct to the Principal may be directed to Mr. Gil Cass or Ms. Kim Piccolino."

Selesnick also cautioned that specifics pertaining to Godin's exit will not be discussed.

"While we recognize that some in our community will have questions for us about Principal Godin's departure, we remind all that we can never comment on personnel matters and we wish to respect Ms. Godin's right to privacy. We ask simply that you join us in wishing her the very best."

Godin, who became the high school's principal in 2014, joined the school district in 2011 when she was appointed principal of Katonah Elementary School.
