Kevin McMahon, 39, of Jennings Road, appeared to be extremely impaired on drugs when officers called to the scene by other drivers caught up with him stopped on Ash Creek Boulevard around 6 p.m., police said.

Officers brought McMahon to headquarters for processing and he was compliant until just before they were ready to release him, police said.

He suddenly took a fighting stance and began taunting officers, saying things like “You police like to pursue people.”

McMahon was charged with interfering with an officer and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, police said. He was taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center for evaluation.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 5.
