SOUTH SALEM, N.Y. Phyllis Andrews of South Salem died July 9 at Meadow Ridge Health Center in Redding, Conn. She was 101.
Born April 20, 1911, in New York City, she was the daughter of Antoninna and Luigi DiGiulio. She married Vincent Andrews, who predeceased her. Andrews was a member of the Lewisboro Seniors.
A communicant of St. Aloysius Church in New Canaan, Conn., she enjoyed knitting, cooking, reading and visits with friends and family. She was a resident of Manhasset, N.Y., before living in South Salem the past 15 years.
She is survived by two sons, Vincent (Ashley), of North Salem, and Robert (Suzanne), of South Salem; and six grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Andrews was predeceased by two sisters, Antionetta and Mary; and two brothers, James and William
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Aloysius Church in New Canaan. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Queens, N.Y. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Hoyt Funeral Home in New Canaan.
