“These schools are among those in New York State that have made the most progress or have the highest performance with no significant gaps in student achievement,” the state said in recognizing the schools.
Reward Schools were determined based on their ability to make yearly progress and keep gaps in performance minimal. Also taken into account were the schools’ statewide percentile rankings, student growth, and graduation rates.
“We are proud to have received this distinction, and are equally proud of our hardworking faculty and students who have made it possible,” Superintendent of Schools Paul Kreutzer said in a prepared statement. “Our teachers’ dedication to instruction and academic growth is part of what makes our district one of high achievement.”
