Other changes include a restored trail system through the natural area, and two new parking spots for hikers, Westchester Land Trust officials said. The preserve is located on West Road off of Route 123 in the Town of Lewisboro.

The Westchester Land Trust has managed the land since it was donated in 2000 from William K. Love, who chose to save it from development, officials said. It is a breeding area for a variety of wildlife, including birds and turtles.

The preserve also has a 1-mile loop trail through the wetland area. For more details, contact Westchester Land Trust Manager Shaun McCoshum at (914) 234-69962, ext. 24 or email shaun@westchesterlandtrust.org.
