Bronx resident Gregory Harris, 41, was found guilty last month of multiple counts of robbery related to four incidents at the same Central Park Avenue in Yonkers in 2016. He was due to be sentenced this week, but had his case adjourned.

The string of robberies began on April 1, when Harris entered the station armed with a handgun, demanding money from employees. He knocked one employee to the ground and held a gun in the direction of the cashier as he stole cash. On his way out of the store, Harris fired the weapon as a warning shot. No injuries were reported.

Harris entered the same station on June 28 with a handgun wearing gloves and a mask, once again stealing cash. On Aug. 2 that year, Harris again went to the station in a mask, wearing gloves, mimicking the presence of a gun before taking off with money.

On Aug. 23, the Yonkers Police Department Pattern Crime Unit was conducting surveillance of the gas station following the three robberies. That night, after 10 p.m., officers spotted Harris attempt another robbery wearing gloves and a mask. Police were able to stop Harris as he started to drive away and he was taken into custody.

Police said that in the car Harris was driving, officers found the same gloves and mask used in the Aug. 2 robbery. Investigators also collected other evidence and surveillance video, which identified Harris as the suspect in all four incidents.

Harris was convicted of four counts of first-degree robbery, and individual counts of criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree robbery and attempted robbery, all felonies. A new sentencing date has not been announced.
