LEWISBORO, N.Y. – St. John’s Episcopal Church of South Salem invites you to enjoy “A Taste of the Vine,” a wine tasting event to be held at the church on Saturday, June 1, from 6 to 9 p.m.
The event will feature a variety of wines including some from local wineries, as well as an array of finger foods prepared by parishioners. Quadrasaurus, a local rock, jazz and alternative country band will provide the background music. The wine selection will be curated by Cross River Wine Merchants of the Cross River Shopping Center.
“Whether you are new to the area or a longtime resident, it will be a wonderful opportunity to experience the warm hospitality and fellowship of the St. John’s/St. Paul’s community,” said Father Joe Campo. Campo is rector of the Episcopal Parish, which includes both St. John’s Church in South Salem and St. Paul’s Chapel in Vista.
Ten percent of the proceeds of all St. John’s fundraisers are donated to outside charitable organizations. The beneficiary of this event will be the Northern Westchester Community Center in Katonah.
