Lewisboro Library To Transform Itself Into 'Nightclub' For Fundraiser

LEWISBORO, N.Y. – There still may be a few teatotalers among the tomes, but the spirits will be both high and flowing when the stage lights go up at the Lewisboro Library next month.

The Lewisboro Library will turn the lights down low, and the musical vibes up high, in April when it transforms itself into a "nightclub" to raise funds.

On Friday, April 15, the library will transform itself into a “nightclub” with cozy tables where patrons can mellow out on wine and beer as they enjoy the innovative and funky sounds of The Steve Shapiro electriQuartet. Desserts will be available, too.

The contemporary instrumental group is led by vibraphonist Steve Shapiro and features musicians Mark Egan, Joel Rosenblatt, and Shane Theriot.

Singer Dennis Collins will be the group’s special guest.

The “club” opens at 7:30 p.m. and the curtain goes up at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $30 for general seating and $60 for a reserved table.

Proceeds will benefit the library’s operating fund.

For reservations, call the library at (914) 875-9004, or visit www.lewisborolibrary.org.

The library is located at 15 Main St., South Salem, N.Y. It can be reached by calling (914) 875-9004 or (914) 763-3857..
