The lecture, which is funded by the Jerome Levy Foundation, will feature author Ellen Zachos, who wrote "Backyard Foraging: 65 Familiar Plants You Didn’t Know You Could Eat."

Zachos is a Harvard graduate and longtime instructor at the New York Botanical Garden. She writes regularly for the National Gardening Association and Edible magazine.

On Saturday, June 25, there will be a follow-up to this lecture -- a hands-on, in-field hike with Steve Brill at Mountain Lake Preserve to find these edibles.

The event is co-sponsored by Lewisboro Land Trust and North Salem Open Land Foundation. Visit www.lewisborolandtrust.org for more information.

The lecture will be from 3-4:30 p.m.

The Katonah Village Library is at 26 Bedford Road, Katonah.
