Legal Services Of Hudson Valley Honors Three At White Plains Dinner

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Legal Services of the Hudson Valley (LSHV), will hold its premiere fundraising event, the 2016 Dinner “Equal Access to Justice,” on Wednesday, April 6, at The Ritz- Carlton in White Plains.

LSHV is the only provider of comprehensive civil legal services to those that cannot afford it in the seven counties of the lower and mid Hudson Valley,

The event, which draws more than 300 community and business leaders, is the perfect venue for individuals and organizations to show their support for LSHV’s efforts which provides free civil legal services to more than 25,000 people, including more than 9,500 children annually that cannot afford.

 “The work that we do saves children from neglect, protects survivors of domestic violence, defends seniors against abuse, serves veterans on the home front, and keeps families in their homes,” said Barbara Finkelstein, chief executive officer. “With enough funding to meet demand, we could serve thousands more and ensure that everyone has equal access to justice in the community we all share.” 

During the gala, the organization will honor the following individuals: 

Tony West, executive vice president of government affairs, general counsel and corporate secretary of PepsiCo. West, who has worked for the company since 2014, is responsible for the company’s worldwide legal, government affairs and public policy organizations. 

Sidney S. Rosdeitcher, a member of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton and Garrison of New York City, was a litigation partner committed to extensive pro bono work at the firm until his retirement. He also served as a lawyer in the Office of Legal Counsel at the United States Department of Justice and an assistant to a Commissioner at the Federal Trade Commission.

Susan Fox, is the president and chief executive officer of White Plains Hospital. She joined the hospital’s team in 2010 as senior vice president of administration bringing with her more than 25 years of experience in health management administration. In 2015 she was named president.
