A quick-moving system moving through the Hudson Valley on Wednesday evening may bring snow showers that could result in a coating of snow, the National Weather Service said in a Special Weather Statement issued late in the afternoon.

The precipitation, accompanied by gusty winds, will make for temporary reductions in visibility to below a mile.

The snow showers should wrap up sometime around 9 p.m. Wednesday.

It will gradually clear overnight with the low dropping to between 22 and 24 degrees and a wind-chill factor between 10 and 20 degrees with wind gusts up to 26 miles per hour.

The wind will be out in full force Thursday, with gusts as high as 30 miles per hour, making the daytime high in the mid-30s feel more like it's between 10 and 20 degrees.
