SOUTH SALEM, N.Y. – Carl F. Madsen of South Salem died Sunday, Sept. 30, at Salem Hills Health Care Center in Purdys. He was 83.

Madsen was born March 8, 1929, in Mount Kisco to John and Barbara Madsen. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was married to Marilyn J. Madsen. She predeceased him in 2008.
