Tobacco Use Down Among NY Teens, Adults Due To Policy Changes State health officials are crediting new policy changes for a marked decline in tobacco smoking and vaping among adults and teens. Three new reports released by the New York State Department of Health Bureau of Tobacco Control on Thursday, June 1, show that ongoing tobacco control policies are having a positive impact, health officials said. Among the impacts seen so far is a drop in the use of all tobacco products by middle and high school students. Bobby Arietta, Scenic Artist For Movies/TV, Dies At 51 Robert C. "Bobby" Arietta of Nyack, a noted scenic artist for major motion picture and television productions, died on Sunday, May 27. He was 51. He was a lifelong resident of Nyack, a graduate of Nyack High School, class of 84, and attended Buffalo University. Since 1996 he worked as a Scenic Artist for United Scenic Artists Local USA 829.
