Newburgh House Cleaner Charged With Stealing Jewelry From Client's Home NEWBURGH, N.Y. – A Newburgh woman who works as a house cleaner stole more than $1,000 in jewelry from one of her clients, according to New York State Police.  Debby I. State Police Seize Drugs, Unstamped Cigarettes In Newburgh Traffic Stop NEWBURGH, N.Y. – State Police seized more than two pounds of an illegal stimulant as well as 40 cartons of unstamped cigarettes during a routine traffic stop in Newburgh on Tuesday, authorities said.  Mansswr Saleh, 40, of Brooklyn was pulled over for a moving violation on Interstate 87 just before 9 p.m. A search found two pounds of KHAT as well as the unmarked cigarettes, troopers said. Saleh was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession or transport for sale of unmarked cigarettes, officials said.  Saleh was taken to Orange County Jail without bail.

Kingston Man Will Serve Up To 10 Years For Fatal Newburgh Crash NEWBURGH, N.Y. – A Kingston man who admitted to being drunk when he crashed his truck in the Town of Newburgh last year was sentenced to a maximum of 10 years in prison on Monday, according to District Attorney David Hoovler.  James Black, 29, was driving on Quaker Street last December just after 1:30 p.m. when he lost control of his truck and hit a tree.
