South Salem Junior Tennis Player Finishes Fourth At USTA Junior Team Event

BREWSTER, N.Y. – A team from Brewster representing the USTA Eastern section finished fourth at the USTA Junior Team Tennis 14U Intermediate National Championship, which was held in Cayce, S.C. this past weekend.

The event featured the top 32 teams from both the USTA intermediate and advanced levels, and the Brewster-based team, known as Hardscrabble, finished fourth.

The team got as far as the semifinals before losing to teams from Madison and Columbus, Ohio to close out the tournament.

The members of the team are: James Cosby from Greenwich, Krishna Koka from Poughkeepsie, Lea Letourneau from South Salem, Tadd Long from Woodside, Hillary Sherpa from Astoria and Allison Yu from Stormville.
