South Salem Golfer Wins Salem Club Championship

SOUTH SALEM, N.Y. – South Salem resident Carol Strobel won the Salem Golf Club championship last week. It marks the 14th time she has won the trophy.

First-round stroke play determined the 12 golfers from the Salem Women’s Golf Association who continued in match play the following day in three different flights. The second round of match play determined the winners of each flight. The championship flight played without handicaps.  

Winning first and second flights, respectively, were Jeanine Nadler from Chappaqua and Judy Glazener from Carmel.   

Salem Golf Club, a private membership club with an 18-hole golf course, is on Bloomer Road in North Salem.
