CROSS RIVER, N.Y. - Old rivals Somers and John Jay of Cross River locked horns on the baseball diamond Saturday in a game played at John Jay High School.

John Jay came out of this one with a 9-6 victory, with Jay's Ryan Bryggman earning the win on the mound.

Alex Rajovic drove in three and Matt Hegarty homered for John Jay, which improved to 3-2.

Bobby O'Leary took the loss for Somers, which got two RBI from Trujillo.
