Harvey Boys Soccer Wins Third Straight

KATONAH, N.Y. ‒ The Harvey School boys soccer team ran its winning streak to three games Wednesday with a 3-0 blanking of visiting Wooster.

The Cavaliers (4-3) took some time to get going after Tuesday's hard-fought 2-1 victory over EI International. But the offense finally kicked in 30 minutes into the game when the midfielders began to control the play.

Harvey opened the scoring when junior Curtis Rattner took a throw-in. Harry Solomon flicked the ball off the top of his head to Robbie VanRaamsdonk, who beat the keeper to make it 1-0.

The Cavaliers struck early in the second half when VanRaamsdonk played a ball back to junior Brian Silva for a goal.

Then, with 10 minutes remaining, junior Jake Cohn placed a free kick in the box for senior captain David Mandra to head into the net for a 3-0 lead.

Harvey’s junior goalkeeper Corey Eisenband had nine saves to earn the shutout.
