Fox Lane Falls In Girls Lacrosse Title Game

MAHOPAC, N.Y. - The Fox Lane and North Rockland High School girls lacrosse teams squared off in the Section 1 Class A championship game Thursday at Mahopac High School.

Fox Lane got off to a fast start and led 6-2 early, before the top-seeded Raiders recovered and found another gear, pulling out an 8-7 victory, and the program's second sectional championship (2012 was the first).

Kerri Gutenberger and Aleya Corretjer each had three goals for the Raiders, who improved to 17-2, and play in a regional game at Dietz Stadium in Kingston next Wednesday at 3 p.m.

Sixth-seeded Fox Lane ended its season at 13-7.
