Ceglia was an All-American defenseman on the lacrosse team at Yorktown, where he was a 1996 graduate.

The Huskers won the section before losing in the state semifinal that year, but Ceglia (who also played football and basketball at Yorktown) went on to play at Syracuse University, where he reached the final four all four years, reached the championship game twice, and won a national championship with the Orangemen in 2000.

Ceglia has been Director of Athletics at Rye Neck for seven years. Prior to coming to Rye Neck, Ceglia spent two years at Dobbs Ferry, where he was a physical education and social studies teacher, and spent two years in the Bedford School District before that.
