Members of ArtsAlive! have submitted a petition fighting the reduction in elementary music education staff.

Jack Freudenheim, president of ArtsAlive!, states in the petition that the reasoning that fourth- and fifth-graders who are in band or orchestra receive a second session of music instruction and only need one session of general music class is wrong.

The petition is asking the Board of Education to reconsider the cuts.
