To date, the Lewisboro Elementary School Utilization Committee has worked to identify appropriate uses for the school and has learned about the legal requirements associated with renting the building.
The committee met with several real estate agents to determine appropriate rental fees and, since then, the board has appointed an agent with whom to work through the rental/leasing process. The committee also visited a nearby school district to discuss its process of evaluating possible uses for a recently closed school within that district.
At the June 16 forum, the district will share legal parameters associated with renting the school, as well as information relative to the current zoning parameters associated with building rental. In addition, the committee will share ideas on how it plans on marketing the building to potential tenants.
