LEWISBORO, N.Y. Several students from the Town of Lewisboro have been named to their college's Deans List for the 2012 spring semester.
Patricia Bastardi of Goldens Bridge and Daniel Wertz of Cross River, have been named to Deans List of Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Conn. To receive this honor, a student must achieve a 3.6 grade average, based on a 4.0 scale. Sacred Heart University is the second-largest independent Catholic university in New England.
Sydney Tortorici of South Salem was named to the spring semester Dean's List at Salve Regina University. Tortorici is a sophomore. To qualify for the Salve Regina Dean's List, full-time undergraduate students must earn a minimum grade point average of 3.6 with no grade below a B in that semester. Salve Regina, a Catholic, co-educational university founded by the Sisters of Mercy, is in Newport, R.I.
Taylor T. Engert of South Salem was named to the Dean's List at the University of Rhode Island. To be included on the Dean's List, students must have completed 12 or more credits during a semester for letter grades with at least a 3.30 quality point average. URI is in Kingston, R.I.
Brendan Morris and James Morris, both of Waccabuc, were named to the Deans List at Gettysburg College. To qualify, students must have a quality point average of 3.33 or higher for a semester's work. Founded in 1832, Gettysburg College is a four-year residential college for liberal arts and sciences. Its located adjacent to the Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania.
Michael Kelly and James Kelly, both of Goldens Bridge, have been named to the Deans List at the University of Scranton. A student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours to make the Dean's List. The University of Scranton is a Jesuit university in northeast Pennsylvania.
Jacqueline Menkel of Goldens Bridge was named to Dean's List at the University of Vermont. To be named to the dean's lists, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school. UV is in Burlington, Vt.
