The group is called the Lewisboro Elementary School Utilization Committee and will meet once a month on Tuesday from 9:30-11:30 a.m., the district said, adding that it will make recommendations to the Board of Education.

The district also details the committee's charge for the shuttered building.

"The role and purpose of the Lewisboro Elementary School Utilization Committee is to investigate financial, legal, zoning and infrastructure possibilities/limitations associated with the potential leasing of Lewisboro Elementary School," the announcement states. "The committee will develop a plan for the LES facility which serves both the financial and social interests of the community and will pursue and secure potential tenants."

LES, which is in South Salem, was closed following the end of the 2013-14 school year. Last month, Lewisboro Supervisor Peter Parsons expressed interest in a town role in the reuse process, raising the possibility of having town office space there.

The district is giving a Friday, Oct. 24, deadline for candidates to make their submissions.

The district adds that submissions can be sent to District Clerk Kimberly Monzon to either her email address -- kmonzon@klschools.org -- or by mail to the following postal address: Katonah-Lewisboro Union Free School District, P.O. Box 387, Katonah, NY 10536
