Kat-Lewisboro Superintendent Ready to Tweet You

CROSS RIVER, N.Y. – Thanks to the latest technology, Katonah-Lewisboro School District residents can now stay on top of what is happening in the district via Superintendent Paul Kreutzer’s Twitter feeds.

Kreutzer announced this week he wants to share his Twitter page, a place where he frequently posts timely information and articles regarding public education, as well as observations about district happenings. Kreutzer said he invites parents, staff, community members, and others who are interested to follow his Twitter page and receive his latest tweets.

The superintendent points out that Twitter has developed as a network widely used in the business world and is beginning to grow in popularity within the education field as well. Twitter users can post everything from video links to short announcements, from photographs to news stories

“With social media growing more and more prominent as an avenue of communication with instant, real-time updates, I am eager to utilize Twitter as another way to connect with members of the district and community,” Kreutzer said. “In addition to serving as an immediate way to publicize our own District announcements, Twitter is an excellent outlet for re-posting and recommending broader news that has been shared by our media contacts, public officials, state education leaders, and others whose Twitter feeds I follow myself in order to stay updated.”

The address for Kreutzer’s Twitter feed is https://twitter.com/#!/drpaulkreutzer, or it can be accessed directly from the school district home page at http://www.klschooldistrict.org.
