John Jay Middle School Sixth-Graders Partake In Medieval Dancing

CROSS RIVER, N.Y. -- Sixth grade students at John Jay Middle School were recently introduced to music, instruments and dances from the Middle Ages.

Artists-in-residence John Bromka and Sondra Bromka of Bells & Motle were able to introduce various regional dances as well as lessons about art, culture and etiquette like proper bowing technique.

The Middle Ages unit will culminate with a field trip to Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts to participate in the program ‘A Day in the Middle Ages.’
