With more than 5,300 ballots cast, Donohue garnered 59 percent of the vote.

Donohue, Lewisboro’s former deputy town clerk, was appointed town clerk in March when Kathy Cory resigned. Donohue will fill out the remaining three years of Cory’s term.

Morris is a former columnist for the Lewisboro Ledger and a freelance writer.

After receiving Morris’s concession call, Donohue thanked her supporters for helping her with her campaign.

“I appreciate everyone’s efforts and I look forward to continuing my service to the residents of Lewisboro,” she said.

Donohue said working alongside Supervisor Peter Parsons, the Town Board, town employees and the Emergency Operations Team led by Adam Ochs during the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy made her even more appreciative of the dedication to public service that “makes Lewisboro a wonderful and unique community.”
