Reps From Presidential Campaigns Meet In Westchester

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. -- Members of the five remaining presidential campaigns are meeting with representatives from the White House at Kykuit, the Rockefeller estate in Mount Pleasant, to learn what the next president will need for a transition to power, according to The New York Times.

The two-day gathering on the historic hilltop estate began Wednesday and includes working lunches and dinners, breakout sessions and a focus on having a smooth transition after the Obama presidency in an era of terrorist threats that may require action from the Oval Office at any point during the transition, the report said.

A non-profit group hosting the meetings, the Partnership for Public Service, has established a Center for Presidential Transition.
