Poll Shows Maloney Leads Hayworth In Congressional Race Rematch

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. – A Time Warner Cable News/Siena College Research Institute poll released Thursday, Sept. 18 shows that incumbent U.S. Representative Sean Patrick Maloney has an eight-point lead over Republican Nan Hayworth.

The poll shows that among likely 18th Congressional District voters, Maloney has 50 percent of votes against Hayworth’s 42 percent. Eight percent are undecided. Maloney unseated Hayworth in 2012.

District 18 is made up of all of Putnam and Orange counties, along with the southern portion of Dutchess County of Bedford, Lewisboro, Pound Ridge, North Salem and Somers.
