The party’s chosen candidates this year are Tom Fischetti for Supervisor, Deirdre Casper for Receiver of Taxes, and incumbents Peter DeLucia and Frank Kelly for Town Board and Marc Seedorf for Town Justice. Andrea Rendo, who will challenge Democrat Peter Harckham for County Legislature, will also be on hand at the party.

Fischetti, a long-time Lewisboro resident, has an extensive background in financial services and the insurance industry. He has said that he sometimes agrees with current Supervisor Peter Parsons goals, but “in most instances we disagree on the path for getting there.”

DeLucia, an eight-year veteran of the Town Council, served four of those years as Deputy Supervisor. He has worked in liaison with the Parks and Recreation Department, the Zoning Board of Appeals, the Building Department and the Planning Board. He is Assistant Commissioner of the Westchester County Health Department and makes frequent appearances on TV’s Dr. Oz show.

Frank Kelly, a recent recipient of the U. S. Army Meritorious Service Medal, is completing his first term as councilman. As a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves, he served 14 months in Iraq as Chief Counsel to the Engineers and was awarded a Bronze Star for actions in combat. He is an attorney and litigator in private practice.

Deirdre Casper is running to replace Joann Vasi, who served 30 years as Receiver of Taxes and is now retiring. Casper has been working as her assistant and is well-acquainted with the various aspects and responsibilities of the job. Before taking on her job at the Town House, Casper had many years of management experience in the business world.

Justice Seedorf, completing his fourth term as Town Justice, is a former major crimes prosecutor and is now an attorney in private practice. He has served as president of the Westchester County Magistrate’s Association, is a member of the Westchester County Domestic Violence Council, and has been an Acting City Court Judge in Mount Vernon and White Plains.

The Lewisboro Republican Town Committee’s Campaign Kickoff party will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, at 123 Restaurant, 407 Smith Ridge Road (Route 123) in South Salem. Tickets are $25 per person in advance, $30 at the door. Hot and cold hors d’oeuvres are included in the price.
