DeLucia and Kelly, along with incumbent Town Justice Marc A. Seedorf, received the endorsements unanimously.
DeLucia is in his eighth year as councilman and his fourth as deputy supervisor. He was appointed to the position by the current Supervisor Peter Parsons, a Democrat, and his predecessor Charlie Duffy, a registered Conservative.
In addition to his responsibilities as deputy supervisor, DeLucia’s liaison appointments include the Parks and Recreation Department, the Zoning Board of Appeals, the Building Department, the Planning Board and the Architecture and Community Appearance Review Committee. He hosts public interest programming on Lewisboro Community Television and regularly appears on the “Dr. Oz Show” as a representative of the Westchester County Health Department, where he is a deputy commissioner. He lives in the Vista area with his wife, Kim, and their twins.
Kelly is completing his first four-year term on the board. He is an attorney in private practice, as well as a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves. In serving 14 months in Iraq in 2006 to 2007, he was awarded the Bronze Star for actions in combat and served as chief counsel to the engineers, where he administered more than $2.2 billion in logistics, transportation and construction contracts for troop support.
As a board member, Kelly is liaison to the Emergency Management Committee, the Police Department, the Cable Television Advisory Committee and the Highway and Maintenance Departments. He lives in the Twin Lakes area with his wife, Kathy, and their five children.
Seedorf is completing his fourth four-year term as town justice. He serves on the Westchester County Domestic Violence Council and is a past president of the Westchester County Magistrate’s Association. He is a former Bronx County assistant district attorney and was a trial prosecutor in the major offense bureau. In addition to his 16 years as town justice, Seedorf maintains a private practice where he represents criminal defendants, civil litigants and victims of domestic violence in the state, county and town and village courts.
Seedorf has been a Lewisboro resident since 1989. His three children all graduated from John Jay High School.
When the Town Board candidates presented their goals for the next term to the committee, they outlined “a proactive approach to local government aimed at building upon the progress they have made in enhancing revenue and increasing efficiency,” GOP Committee Chairman Andrea Rendo said.
"It would only make sense to want to see the town continue down that same path,” Rendo said. “All three candidates have always shown their continued commitment and dedication to our town and to the well-being of its residents."
