LEWISBORO, N.Y. – The Lewisboro Democratic Committee has added Lisa Wickersham and Richard Sklarin to its slate of candidates for the upcoming November election. Both will be running for seats on the Town Board. The committee has already endorsed Supervisor Peter Parsons and County Legislator Peter Harckham for re-election, and Theresa Eaker has been endorsed for the position of Receiver of Taxes.
Wickersham, a member of the Independence Party, graduated Summa Cum Laude from Pace University and was with IBM for 35 years. Locally, she is vice-president of the Lewisboro Garden Club, a Lewisboro Library trustee, Girl Scout troop leader and active PTA member.
Wickersham grew up in Westchester and has been a Lewisboro resident for 16 years. She lives in South Salem with her husband and two daughters.
Sklarin is a practicing attorney with a background in municipal liability, civil rights and employment litigation. He has served locally as president of The Glen at Lewisboro Homeowners Association, has belonged to Lewisboro’s Open Space Advisory Committee and was chair of the Lewisboro Republican Town Committee from 2002 to 2006. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude from SUNY Albany and received his J.D. from St. John’s University.
Sklarin lives in Goldens Bridge with his wife and two teenage children. “I am very excited about the opportunity to serve our town,” he said. “We need more representatives who will roll up their sleeves and come up with genuine, practical solutions. I am proud to run for Town Board on the Democratic line, with a team committed to a better future for Lewisboro.”
“We believe Peter Parsons has done an outstanding job as our Supervisor,” said Committee Co-Chair Alan Cole, “and we are convinced that Ms. Wickersham and Mr. Sklarin are the best qualified candidates to support him and work collaboratively as Town Board members.”
