Harckham Endorses Morris For Lewisboro Town Clerk

LEWISBORO, N.Y. – Jeff Morris, the Democratic candidate for Lewisboro Town Clerk, has been endorsed by County Board of Legislators Majority Leader Pete Harckham (D -Bedford).

"Jeff Morris has the qualities needed to bring a new level of professionalism and innovation to the Town Clerk's office,” Idoni said. “I heartily endorse him for Lewisboro Town Clerk."

Harckham said he believes Morris has the right credentials and experience to make a good town clerk.

“In the years I've known Jeff Morris, he’s exhibited a rare combination of vision and experience, grounded in practical reality that gives him a can-do attitude,” Harckham said. “He has a keenly analytical mind and personal demeanor that will serve him well as town clerk.”

Morris also has been endorsed by Westchester County Clerk Tim Idoni and Lewisboro Supervisor Peter Parsons.

“Jeff has the technical skills to save your tax dollars and improve service by modernizing Lewisboro's paper flow, information services and record keeping,” Parsons said. “His quiet sense of humor is a critical qualification for the town's gatekeeper. The right candidate at the right time, he will make an excellent town clerk."

Lewisboro Town Councilman Dan Welsh also has endorsed Morris and he has the received the backing of the Lewisboro Democratic Committee and the Westchester Working Families Party.

Morse is challenging incumbent Republican Janet Donohue, who was appointed to the post earlier this year in the wake of the retirement of longtime Town Clerk Kathy Cory.

A 36-year Lewisboro resident, Morris lives in South Salem with his wife and two children, one a graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania, the other attending John Jay High School in Cross River.
