WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Westchester County Executive Robert Astorino and his wife recently spent some time in Arizona with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and his wife discussing Astorino's possible run against Andrew Cuomo for New York State Governor according to the Democrat and Chronicle

The four met for about an hour behind closed doors. Christie and Astorino have a lot in common in that they are both fiscal conservatives that have won elections in primarily Democratic areas, the Democrat and Chronicle reported.

After handily defeating New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson in this month's election, Astorino is expected to make a decision on the gubernatorial race in the coming months, the Democrat and Chronicle said.

Mr G:

All of us with the best interests of New York could only wish Astorino runs. Because it will garantee re-election by Cuomo. We don't need another GOPer on their knees to the likes of the Wal-Marts. The public has had it's fill of big bussiness's greed overtaking the public interest.

Andy O'Rourke 2: Tax issue won't cut the mustard since Cuomo put the tax cap on... will be a replay this time Rob as the sacrificial lamb...

I would love to see Rob run against the leftist statist Cuomo. Rob would win the entire state except the insane counties of NYC, which love handouts, higher taxes, freebies and top-down government control.
