Yorktown Man Arrested On Criminal Mischief Charges

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Kevin L. Velasquez, a 24-year-old Yorktown resident was arrested and charged with two counts of felony criminal mischief on Thursday, Sept. 4. 

Police say they responded to a report that indicated Velsaquez was disorderly and damaging property. Velasaquez was accused of punching a vehicle in the parking lot of a Chestnut Shell station which caused $500 in damage, according to police. Police say Velasquez also damaged gas station property which added up to $750 in damage. 

Velasquez was in the Shell, arrested and transported to the Yorktown Police for processing. Following processing, he was arraigned and released on $1,500 bail. Velsaquez is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
