Volunteers Sought By Westchester Fire Departments

There are openings and tours are offered for potential firefighters in Westchester County which took part in a statewide recruiting event on Saturday, April 23, said lohud.com.

Briarcliff Fire Department had "five or six" people make inquiries, according to lohud.com.

Dennis Reilly, the Briarcliff Fire Department chief told lohud.com retaining members in the all-volunteer department is challenging, lohud.com reported.

The recruiting event was driven by the state Firemen's Association, the report said
