Vista Fire Department Responds To Four Calls

VISTA, N.Y. – The Vista Fire Department responded to four calls last week, including an automatic fire alarm activation and a carbon monoxide alarm activation. The fire log for the week of July 2-8 follows:

Monday, July 2

The department received a request for the ambulance at a residence on Ridgeland Road at 10:13 a.m. The patient was transported to Northern Westchester Hospital.

Tuesday, July 3

At 8:45 p.m., the department received a request for the ambulance at a residence on Smithridge Road. The patient was transported to Norwalk (Conn.) Hospital with the Norwalk Hospital paramedic on board.

Wednesday, July 4

The department received a report of an automatic fire alarm activation at a location on Smithridge Road at 3:31 p.m. It was checked and determined to have been a problem with the alarm system.

Sunday, July 8

At 10:29 a.m., the department received a report of a carbon monoxide alarm activation at a residence on Smithridge Road. It was determined to have been a problem with the alarm system.
