VISTA, N.Y. – The Vista Fire Department responded to four calls last week, including a mutual aid request from the South Salem Fire Department to assist with a structure fire.

The fire log for the week of July 15-22 follows:

Sunday, July 15

At 2:30 p.m., the department received a request for an ambulance at a business on Smith Ridge Road. The patient was transported to Norwalk Hospital. On the way, the ambulance met with the Norwalk paramedics.

The department received a request for an ambulance at a residence on East Street at 8:12 p.m. The patient was transported to Norwalk Hospital with the Westchester paramedic on board.

Friday, July 20

At 11:02 a.m., the department received a mutual aid request from the South Salem Fire Department for an engine to respond to a possible structure fire on Five Ponds Drive. The request was canceled while the company was responding.

The department received a report of wires arching on Smith Ridge Road at 1:05 p.m.  Responders arrived and requested NYSEG to the scene. The department stayed on location until NYSEG arrived.
