The 18-year-old was in the passenger side of the car, driven by a 17-year-old who police say was driving without a license. When they were pulled over Thursday evening for speeding, police say they saw a bag of marijuana in the center console as the driver looked in the compartment for his registration.

When asked if it was marijuana, the driver said it was, but said there were no other drugs in the car, according to the police report. While there were no other drugs in the car, police said they found three plastic bags with a white substance they believed to be cocaine in the 18-year-old’s wallet.

A field test confirmed the substance in all three bags was cocaine and each contained .6 grams, police said. He was arrested and charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and arraigned in Town of Bedford court. He was released on his own recognizance and turned over to his mother, who was present, and is due in Lewisboro Town Court in May.

The bag initially found in the center console of the car was confirmed as marijuana and contained 2 grams. The driver told police the bag was his, according to the report.

He was also arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, and a summons for speeding. He was also released on his own recognizance.
