The jabbing of the woman, a 49-year-old South Salem resident, resulted in skin being broken, according to McMorris.

The woman went to Northern Westchester Hospital and subsequently checked herself out, McMorris said. She declined to say how the two know each other.

The incident occurred on Sunday around 7 p.m. at a house on Grandview Road, according to McMorris.

She added that the man was charged with third-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing, both Class A misdemeanors. He was arraigned in Lewisboro Town Court, McMorris said.
