Griffin Lovallo, 21, was charged with attempted murder in the Thanksgiving Eve attack on the woman, who was not named by police but who a Danbury Superior Court judge identified as his mother, the News-Times reported.

Police, responding to a 911 call on Wednesday, Nov. 23, at a Barry Avenue home where the suspect lived with his parents, said they found Lovallo with a handwritten note begging not to be given any psychiatric medication and threatening to bludgeon and stab a woman whose name was redacted from court and police documents, the News-Times said.

The woman was treated at Danbury Hospital and released, according to the theridgefieldpress.com.

Lovallo was charged with attempted murder and first-degree assault. His original bond of $1 million was reduced to $250,000, but he remains in custody and is to appear in court in early January, The Ridgefield Press said.
