Troopers were dispatched by Putnam County 911 for a reported dispute on Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 10:20 p.m. An investigation revealed that Christopher W. Scully had been involved in the crash on South Lake Drive, police said.

Scully attempted to remove the vehicle he was driving from a ditch with another vehicle and failed, and then engaged in a physical altercation with family members, causing minor injuries to two, according to police. A victim contacted 911 to request police assistance and Scully fled the area prior to police arriving on scene, police said.

Scully was located on Rutland Drive,  taken into custody and charged with felony DWI due to a previous DWI-related conviction from 2013. He was also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree, a Class E felony, and assault in the third degree.

Scully was arraigned in the Town of Patterson Court and remanded to Putnam County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Patterson Court on Feb. 14.
