MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- A Mount Kisco parking enforcement officer was arrested in the theft of more than $89,000 in village parking meter funds.

The Westchester County District Attorney's Office, which announced the arrest on Tuesday, accused Jeffrey Daday of taking the revenue over a period from Jan. 5, 2009 until May 6, 2014.

Daday, a 35-year-old resident of Southeast in Putnam County, is accused of emptying the meters and then depositing some of the money at People United Bank, at 14 S. Moger Ave, in Mount Kisco.

Daday was arrested on Tuesday when he was leaving the bank after he made a deposit, according to the District Attorney's Office. He was charged with one count of second-degree grand larceny, a Class C felony, which has a penalty of up to 15 years in prison. His next court date is May 8.

hundreds of illegal aliens living in mt.kisco and were worried about someone stealing quarters..... interesting

Good Luck! - nice guys don't steal $89,000.00. This is another example of Mount Kisco run amuck - empty stores, police officers fired, the Village wanting to raise parking meter fines 100% [it is no wonder why, when supervisors and employees are stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars - of course we need more revenue by raising fines - who is minding the store here?], the Village Manager is leaving [I don't blame him], Thursday night Court sessions are full of immigrants charged with crimes ranging from DWI's to domestic violence [every week - don't believe me - go to the Justice Court on Thursday nights at 7 p.m. and see for yourself], employers coming into this Village, picking up illegal's to work, paying no taxes, housing violations [seven, eight and more families living in residences designed for one family], and on and on and on. It's time for a change in this Village and as a reminder the office of Mayor and two trustees are up for reelection in 2015. This whole Village is composed of Democrats, years and years on end; it's time for some new representation, or at least some diversity. Yes, Einstein was right when he defined "Insanity, as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Be mindful of that - at least the registered Republicans in this Village - and be prepared to vote for new voices and new ideas which will prevent issues like this from happening and focus on matters which will make this great Village, great once again...

The guy he worked under got busted for doing this now him. he is such a nice kid why would he do this? good luck day-day make it right you are still young
