PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Emergency responders rushed to Baldwin Place Road off Route 6 in Mahopac early Sunday afternoon after high winds resulted in a tree coming down on a car.

The Mahopac Falls Fire, EMS and Fire Police units, along with Carmel Police responded to the call, which came around noon.

Units detoured traffic to secondary roads to bypass the accident, as EMS tended to the driver, who suffered very minor injuries, according to authorities.

Asst. Chief Brian Sacher was Incident Command and a crew from Putnam County Highway Department responded to remove the tree from the road.
